Horseback Trail Rides

There's no better way to see the beautiful scenery of the Badlands than from the back of a horse!  Come join us as we explore this diverse ecosystem of dried up creek beds, unique rock formations, and the painted hills from sitting in a saddle! We are located east of Dubois roughly 2 miles based out of the Longhorn Ranch Lodge and RV Resort. Our trail rides cater to riders of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced. Our friendly team of wranglers are well experienced and knowledgeable of the area and are there to ensure that you are provided with a safe and memorable experience. We take pride in matching you with the right horse based on your experience and in the process, hope to provide you with a new buddy!  At the start of each ride, we will provide some basic instruction and tips for being in the saddle before we hit the trail.

2 Hr group or private rides @ 9:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM​

3 Hr group or private rides @ 8:30 AM

Pony Ride Experience @ 4:00 PM, 4:30 PM

Please note that if you are a family with children between 6-8 years old, we require that you book a private family ride at a reserved rate only for families with children in that age group. This allows us to be more flexible if need be while on the trail to meet everybody's needs. Children under the age of 6 are not able to be out on the trails but we do offer a pony ride experience where young kids can help brush and care for their horse, and then be walked around basecamp.  All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
